On Sept. 10, 2024, Lauren Evans ’14 published her debut novel, “Casket Case” with Penguin Random House. A small-town romance with a paranormal twist, the novel follows Nora Claton as she returns to her hometown to run the family casket business after a tragic loss. As she falls for Garret Bishop, a mysterious man with a job linked to death, Claton must confront her grief and come to terms with how love and loss are intertwined.
“Casket Case” was also longlisted for the Cheshire Novel Prize in 2022.
Writing in her spare time, Evans now works in higher education at Georgia Tech as a senior program and operations manager in undergraduate curriculum.
