YOUR SEAHAWK EXPERIENCE
Why did you choose to attend UNCW?
- Like most people, I absolutely adore the beach. At home I live 30 minutes from the beach, and I couldn't imagine not being near it. I also fell in love with campus when I toured — it was a no brainer!
What is your favorite place on campus?
- My favorite place on campus is the Cultural Arts Building (CAB). I work in the Theatre Department, so I am at CAB every day and it has easily become my favorite place to be.
What campus student organizations are you part of (outside of Ambassadors)?
- I am on the Club Cheer Team as well as a member of the University Chorale.
What is an accomplishment at UNCW that you are proud of?
- So far, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while still being involved on campus.
How do you balance your work/school responsibilities with your personal life?
- I thrive on being busy. To balance work/school and personal life, I try and leave an equal amount of time for both.
How have you grown during your time at UNCW?
- I have learned how to be more independent and cherish “me” time. I feel it is important to prioritize your time with yourself for self-care purposes.
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
- After graduation, I hope to go to graduate school to get a master's degree.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
- Stay in the moment and don't dwell on the future.
What advice do you have for students looking to be involved on campus?
- Do not be afraid to put yourself out there.
YOUR AMBASSADOR EXPERIENCE
Why did you decide to become an Ambassador with the Division of Advancement?
- I knew I wanted to get involved heavily on campus. When I found out about Student Ambassadors, it was the perfect fit for me!
How has being an Ambassador set you up for success after graduation?
- I will continue to build connections on and off campus that will be crucial for my life post-grad.
What advice would you share with your peers about getting involved with Advancement events and campaigns?
- Take the chance if you are given one and do not be scared. Everyone on campus is here to help you.
