“It’s a one-stop shop for a great seafood experience that can take care of the whole family." ~ Ty Graham ’15

Marine science, loving food plus miles of beach was the perfect recipe for Ty Graham ’15 to launch the Cape Fear Boil Company.
“We would vacation in North Carolina,” Graham said. “I was big into scuba diving. We did a dive at Wrightsville Beach, and I went home saying I was going to study at UNCW. Working in marine science allowed me to meet so many great people, who have helped me with all the connections within this business.”
The local authority on steamed seafood, Graham’s business prides itself on providing quality, fresh and local ingredients. The key ingredient? Besides exceptional customer service, it’s the spicy andouille sausage that is specially ordered from Louisiana - packed with plenty of Cajun flavor.
While the boil company began as a side project, it quickly transitioned into a full-time opportunity. With two ways to enjoy Carolina’s best pot, either a take-and-bake pot or a fully catered experience, there’s something for everyone and every budget.
"The actual boil is a family experience,” Graham said. “It’s always getting people together and making not just great food, but a memory and experience. It’s fun to see how many people have made this a vacation tradition. We’ve been able to watch families evolve over the years.”
With the newest location now open in Oak Island, Graham’s business is set to make memories for many more Cape Fear visitors.
