Who We Are
The UNCW Student Ambassadors are a group of student leaders representing UNCW through tradition, alumni engagement, philanthropy and service to the Seahawk community.
What We Do
We cultivate a strong affinity for UNCW among students, helping strengthen the Seahawk family through campus events, professional connections and lifelong friendships.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Providing support and leadership to help advance university initiatives.
  • Engaging with guests during alumni programs and leadership-level university events to ensure their success.
  • Providing welcoming and informative campus tours to alumni and visitors to welcome and informative campus experience.
  • Facilitating campus-wide programming and events that deepen students’ connection to UNCW.
  • Promoting a culture of giving and lifelong alumni involvement, helping to educate Seahawks on the importance and impact of philanthropy.

Become a Student Ambassador

Once accepted, Student Ambassador membership lasts throughout a student’s time on campus, so long as they remain in good-standing within the organization. The minimum commitment is one full academic year. Student Ambassadors membership requirements include:
  • > 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours, both fall and spring semesters
  • Attendance at weekly Ambassador meetings, Monday’s 7-8 p.m.
  • Clean disciplinary record within the university
  • Attendance and participation at major events as directed, including our Leadership Retreat, Homecoming, Oozeball, Seahawks Give, and other initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of University Advancement, UNCW Alumni Association, and the UNCW Student Ambassadors program, possessing of a desire to learn, enthusiasm, leadership mindset, responsibility, dependability, maturity, innovation, dedication, and punctuality.
